Mountains and

Valleys and Plains

So much of this journey was about getting from point A to point B but the natural beauty of all of the terrain made the time go by delightfully!

From the top of the Rockies to the Black Hills in South Dakota we rolled along past houses, farms, and fields filled with freshly harvested or neatly distributed bales of hay to feed the cattle through the long cold winter.

​

Our return trip took us through Butte, which turned out to be a highlight. Its history and situation were a revelation!
